        The Sasse Museum of Art invites artists of all backgrounds and disciplines to submit their work for consideration in Tree Stories, a juried digital exhibition exploring the multifaceted relationship between humanity and trees. Tree Stories is a unique digital exhibition that explores the diverse narratives surrounding trees, including their cultural significance, ecological importance, and personal connections. We anticipate welcoming a wide range of artists and showcasing a variety of artistic mediums, attracting a large and engaged audience.

Eligibility: Open to artists worldwide, regardless of age or experience.

Media: We welcome submissions in all artistic mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mixed media, and installation art. WE DO NOT ACCEPT AI-GENERATED ART.

Selection Process: Our distinguished jurors will select artwork based on originality, artistic merit, and relevance to the exhibition theme. NOTE: THIS IS A JURIED EXHIBITION FOCUSED ON THE THEME OF "TREE STORIES"; ONLY ARTWORK THAT SIGNIFICANTLY EXPLORES THIS THEME WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SELECTION.

Benefits:

  • The chosen artworks will be showcased in an online gallery on the Sasse Museum of Art website and in a printed catalog available for purchase on Amazon.  You can view last year’s juried exhibit, Art of the Word, on our website   and you can purchase Art of the Word on Amazon at:
  • Cash prizes will be awarded to top entries.
    • Best in Show: $250
    • Juror’s Choice: $150
    • Founder’s Choice: $100
  • Artists will receive widespread exposure through museum publications and media coverage.

Submission Details: 

  • File Format: JPEG
  • Minimum size: 3 mp 

NOTE: IMAGES THAT ARE NOT THE CORRECT SIZE OR OUT OF FOCUS WILL BE REJECTED

  • Resolution: 300 pixels per inch (ppi)
  • Image Quality: 10 or above
  • Maximum Number of Submissions:  10

Artist Rights and Usage:

  • The artist retains all rights of ownership to their artwork submitted for the Tree Stories exhibition.
  • By submitting work, the artist grants the Sasse Museum of Art a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce and exhibit the artwork in the following ways:
    • In the Tree Stories exhibition catalog (both print and digital versions).
    • For promotional and marketing materials related to the Tree Stories exhibition, including website, social media, and press releases.
